And he never really told me.

And then it was...

the sunday morning they told me about it um because we went down we went down the ground and it became obviously there's that famous picture now isn't the way it comes all the way almost to the halfway line with flowers and that but we ended up going twice in three or four days we went we were one of we were must have been one of the first thousand there or something because we got to

hang a scarf on the on the goal so we got to like we could get into the cop then yeah and we had i would got me on me to step dad's shoulders and i kind of tied a scarf and can kind of remember being really sad i remember my mum being in bits and my dad getting emotional and i remember that and then three or four days later we went back and then it was very formal there was like a queuing system and and you couldn't get anywhere you're like way outside the area then

So I remember that again.

A lad that lived by ours passed away.

He was like an older brother of a lad that we knew.

So I remember there just being a general sadness around it.

And then the cup final itself, I just remember my mum and stepdad having a massive argument about me going.

Right.

Because he was like, no, he's coming.

And he was... I remember them arguing, saying, like, it's going to be safer now than it has ever been because of what happened.

But I ended up going, but we were sat to the side, the Twin Towers side, so, you know, that side.

I remember being that side and watching it.

Yeah, obviously that was...

In amongst the tragedy, it was a fantastic game of football.

I remember just being blown away.

We'd scored, they'd scored, they'd equalised, and then we'd nip ahead again.

But, yeah, I just remember that.

So I do remember the football a little bit, but just in amongst a lot of sadness.
