That's saying something.
It took all the vibrancy, all the colour, all the expression of the original film and just ruined it.
I don't know if you remember the remake of Psycho a couple of years ago, it was like 30 years ago now, where Gus Van Sant basically made a shot for shot remake.
And it was just dreadful.
This is nearly exactly the same thing.
It's purely a money decision.
Just watch the original.
It's far better.

I'm a big fan.
And speaking of things being disgusting for no reason.
I really do like the Evil Dead movies.
I think there hasn't been a bad film in the series so far.
I do think this is the weakest one in the series.
I think it tries too much to be like the previously Cronin version.
And the issue I have with this is when you're seeing all these horrible dismemberments and disembowelments, if you don't care about the people involved, it means nothing to you.
And again, the Evil Dead Wrath, the next film in the series, has been greenlit for next year.
So this doesn't look like a franchise.
Yeah, they're proper hardcore.
And we've had, you know, films like Obsession and Back Rooms were kind of what you call elevated horror this year as well.
