and we're just going to give them out to everyone how do people think this is going to work if they come out and tell us we now have a new energy source you're not going to be told it's free all energy is technically you know free if they want to make it free you're going to get a new energy source it's going to replace x y and z coal all that kind of stuff right nuclear you will pay a subscription for it

you fit this in your home this will power everything in your home but that will need to be manufactured distributed regulated there will be different qualities and quantities of it people will pay people will pay for it so i never understand and maybe someone can explain this to me where this idea that we will all get free energy comes from you will pay for it

The analogy is air travel.

So air travel used to be ridiculous.

I mean, I know it's going up now, but that's because energy prices are going up.

But effectively, air travel became cheap because the technology advanced so much that the competition

could keep offering lower and lower prices and still make a healthy profit.

So it still works within capitalism, but at some point, a free energy device, let's say, that pulls from the vacuum, I don't know what it is, but the profit you could make off that

You'd have to basically create a lightbulb cartel of all of the energy companies, which they may absolutely do.

I'm sure they absolutely do stuff like that already.

But at some point, the lightbulb cartel broke because it was just too easy for somebody to replicate it and make it much, much cheaper and then offer it in abundance to the masses.

But yes, it still requires a subscription and things like that.

can i come in on that then so we get this free energy device okay do you ever remember and this could be could be bs but the point still stands years ago there was a rumor that saddam hussein in iraq was buying loads of playstation 2s to power and make it like a supercomputer whether that was true or not i don't know so with all the terrorism around the world are we just going to dish out these devices that pull unlimited energy from the void to every tom dick and harry to do what they want great great great point

same with flying cars we're going to get flying cars we can all do this yeah that'll work out well do we remember 9-11 when somebody hijacked a plane never mind you can just fly a Tesla into anything you want i.e.

nuclear power plants etc humanity is nowhere near on the cusp of a Jetsons-esque society regardless of what anyone thinks we're not responsible enough for any of that stuff
