I remember it was driving down to Glasgow, I was just coming down to see my parents, and obviously the hull had put the bid in, and it had been accepted.
How much was it?
2.85 million, I think.
And the chairman accepted it.
And I remember seeing him in training that day, Stephen Thompson.
And he was like, oh, you're going to Hull?
And I was like, oh, I'm not sure.
And he was like, no, you're going to Hull.
if they've accepted the money so but then I went down and I met my agents and they were like oh look Steve Bruce wants to call you and I had about 15-20 minutes on the call with them and after that I walked out of the office and I said to my agent come on let's go down to Hull and we went down that night Stratford was your manager in Scotland at the time yeah it was at Dundee and we gave them the debut in March was it Poland who was it Poland and then we played Nigeria in the summer remember at Fulham that's right we played Fulham played Poland what was it like getting the call up
Unbelievable.
Like, it was, obviously, so in the October, November time, I'd went in and trained, obviously, in the 11 v 11, but I was still with the 21s.
But I think the manager had spoke well of me in a press conference and things, so I thought, okay, maybe I would, but then the march comes and I knew it was friendlies and, yeah, I remember getting the call up and I thought...

Yeah, look, I was obviously then delighted to be in the Premier League, biggest league in the world, and coming down and working under Steve Bruce and things like that.
And I was very fortunate I had a really good changing room.
You know what I mean?
I had a lot of experienced lads that could help.
You know, I had Michael Dawson, I had Curtis Davis, I had Tom Huddleston, I had Jake Livermore, Snoddy, Greigsey.
Snoddy, yeah.
when people name our footballers it's always that kind of name so we had a really experienced group that could kind of help me and Harry Maguire and people like that come through and kind of grow up quite quickly as well because obviously the first season at Hull we got relegated and that was obviously difficult but it was also a kind of eye opener of okay what standards we have to get to and you know okay I thought I was doing quite well in my career now but I need to you know take it to kind of a whole new level now and
