I think that first season was a real eye-opener for us.
But the second season was the biggest one for me in the championship.
I think I played the most games for the team.
I learned so much.
I knew there was so much more work still to do.
I still don't think I'm the finished article, so that's always been the attitude that I can always improve.
But I think at that moment in that year, it just kind of opened my eyes.
What was your summer like?
It was stressful because the thing is, as well as relegations, it affects not only you, it affects staff and the building and it affects, you know, people lose jobs and, you know, I think that season then the owners said, OK, we'll give you one more season.
I think the team stayed together, but there was a huge pressure on us to try and get back up.
So I think this summer was more about determination of, OK, let's try and go into this season and we know we're going to be one of the favourites to go back up and we have to kind of go and prove that, do you know what I mean?
So obviously in the January of my last year, I nearly went to Sunderland with David Moyes.
Yeah, because at that point, I'd obviously, you know, Hull were in a bit of an uncertain time.
Marco Silva had literally just came in.
And I didn't have long left in my contract and things like that.
And my wife now, she just found out she was pregnant with her first child and things like that.
So obviously, things change everything.
You then want to make sure that they're future.
So I did consider it.
And Burnley were there as well in January.
