And then obviously time went by and then I went over and met Jurgen and we didn't speak one bit about football, we just spoke about life, we spoke about his upbringing and that.

and yeah I think we just clicked from there and you know he obviously tells it now but I think it's like at that moment he was like no I want him in the door and after that I was just trying to get the two clubs to agree and then I was on my way What was obviously Anfield I remember when we came up

So I was at Hull and we went to Anfield, obviously.

And I knew they were kind of interested at that point.

And we got a man sent off after 15 minutes.

We got pumped 5-1.

I gave away a penalty.

And I was thinking, I've walked off the pitch going after him.

That's it, I've blown it, I've blown it.

And the actual, the chief scout had texted my agent that night going, don't worry, we're not thinking anything into that game.

I thought, right, okay, that's... Again, that's a test.

That's right, exactly, yeah.

Yeah, it was unbelievable.

Obviously, it took a bit longer to agree the fee, so I'd missed out in pre-season.

All the lads, they were all in Hong Kong at the time, and I had to stay back.
