Again, I'm going to say this as a disclaimer, I am not an expert on immigration policy of the United States, but as I'm sitting back and I am watching this play itself out, I keep having a question come to the surface in my mind.

Are people reacting the way that they do because of the optics

or the objective?

The optics being, of course, what it looks like, what it could be perceived like, not only to Americans, but to the world.

Or is it the objective, which is to enforce immigration policy in the United States?

My personal opinion, Andy Stumpf's opinion, that counts for nothing other than my opinion, feel free to ignore if you want to, is that our country cannot survive without laws.

And if we're going to have laws, we are going to have to have people that enforce those laws.

Without that, I don't see how we exist.

I also think that it is essential that we have immigration.

I believe, it is my personal belief, that the United States of America is and can continue to be a beacon for the rest of the world.

There is a reason that people will risk everything and leave everything they have to try to make a better life here.

So I understand that.
