Um we s sort of sort brought them together and yeah.

So I've been working at Darrington for twenty years and yeah, I think the key thing about us really is that we we do still work in schools and work with work with ordinary children and and and teachers.

Yeah, we did a c kind of a combo, wasn't it, somewhere between teach meet and research research edge, yeah.

Yeah, definitely.

I mean it's it's woven in

of everything we do, isn't it?

Every part of the school and and even so many of the decisions we make.

And I think what's become quite interesting for me is you you mentioned Tom that the book's uh eleven years old.

And I think we were still

novices in terms of the education research when we wrote the book.

We were finding bits of information from here and there.

And the the book is very much like a patchwork, you know, sort of like a few bits that we we half understood, some things we did understand well, sort of knitted together.

Um, and certainly I have, and I think Sean probably would would say the same.

I've uh I've got to learn a lot more about the research evidence since writing the book.

Whereas when we first wrote it, it was almost like our entry y our entry point to it.

So you might read the book book and we might sound quite knowledgeable, but we were we we will make it up as we went along.
