Until I joined bands.

And then suddenly there was this day where...

We were working out, back then you just did songs that were on the radio.

It was all covers in our set.

And we wanted to do Led Zeppelin songs and Deep Purple songs.

There was no one else in the band who could sing in those ranges, especially in Robert Plant's range.

And so it fell to me.

And I started trying it.

And it just sort of came out of me.

It was there.

Wow.

Right.

The folky stuff is more soft and gentle.

And then when you attempt something like Highway Star...

It comes from a whole different place, as you well know.
