So big banks and other mainstream traditional lenders are big clients of the credit reporting firms.

They have expressed their dislike for this missing information.

Credit reporting firms, for their part, also believe that lenders should have a full view of people's obligations, financial obligations, and so have been working to try to add this information onto credit reports.

So the common sort of place where all three major credit reporting firms are at

is that they're in sounds like pretty advanced conversations with certain buy-now-pay-later companies and are working towards, if not having already developed, like Equifax, a format in which this type of payment plan information will be displayed on people's credit reports.

So there's a bit of a mix with regards to how the companies feel.

All three companies, Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm, say that they have been talking to credit reporting firms about potentially reporting these plans, these short-term plans.
