So the defence says that we've heard different stories throughout the trial and they accept that maybe the relationship meant more to Timothy Loosemore than it did to Marie Vermont.
But they say throughout the evidence from friends and Darcy, Marie Vermont's son, there's no evidence of anger or violence there.
They bring up that Marie Vermont took Timothy Loosemore to meet her mum and they describe that as a relatively intimate step.
There's the hot springs trip for his birthday just a couple of weeks before the fire.
And they also talk about the fact that Darcy left the property the day before the fire.
