And that's interesting because they say that on the path to the neighbour's house that Timothy Lewis Moore took on the night to raise the alarm, there was a rosebush, there was barbed wire on the fence.

So they're suggesting that these injuries could have just come as a result of him being drunk.

We know he's three times the limit, stumbling through the dark to the neighbour's house to raise the alarm about the fire.

Yeah, we know that he notices during the body camera footage, he notices that he's got blood on his hands.

The paramedics say that he's got injuries to his face.

Later, there's burns on his foot and back that are found.

So there are all sorts of different injuries that he's picked up during the night.

The defence is saying that if Timothy Loosemore knew Darcy was gone for a week and that he's on this rural, isolated property, that he would know that he's got time.

There's actually no one that's probably going to pop around and see what's happened.

So if that's the case, then if the prosecution suggests he was concerned enough to destroy the body in the fire, why didn't he change his clothes or clean himself before turning up at the neighbour's door that night?

And we also know that the defence also puts that afterwards he's moving cars away from the fire.

He goes and tries to find a phone at the other house on the property.

So they're saying that this paints a picture of him kind of being confused and not really knowing what to do immediately after the fire.

So the defence says if you look at the evidence presented as a whole on the fire, that really it's not strong enough to say that Timothy Loosemore did light it.

They said there's no precise ignition point, no identified ignition source, no confirmed accelerant and multiple alternative explanations for the ferocity of the fire.

So they just say that the prosecution has in no way proved that Timothy Loosemore did light the fire.

So the defence says that the fire investigator actually didn't place the five litre fuel container on top of that mark because he thought it would be misleading, despite police later doing that.

And there was really no confirmation that this was anything other than any plastic container of that size.

So basically the prosecution does mention the knives.

They say there was no forensic material on them.
