Because I want him to be a fantastic partner to somebody.
I want to get on with my life and him to get on with his, you know.
to know all the great love that I've known.
I want him to be a great lover.
I want him to be a brilliant boyfriend to whoever he is mad about.
I want him to be more of himself.
I want him to find the love that makes him feel more of himself, you know?
His Alzheimer's we're talking about now.
Yeah, we're in each other's lives, certainly, and very connected to our family, of course.
And then I'd say around the time of my son's birth, actually, so that's about 16 years ago, I started to notice some funny wee behaviours.
And it's quite often, this is the one thing that a lot of people say when they observe it in people they love.
He was making a cup of tea and I was like, what are you doing?
So it's very small tasks that we do, like brushing teeth or making tea or whatever, habitually.
And it was all just a little, just a little as if somebody had, the floor had slightly tilted.
Or he would then get on the wrong bus.
Or he'd turn up far too early for something.
