You know, you have the biggest chance to make a difference in your mid forties.
It's to do with estrogen.
So when we lose estrogen after menopause, on average, you can lose up to twenty percent of your bone loss in those seven years postmenopause.
So it's a big decline.
We build our bones in our childhood.
So the more active your children are, fantastic.
You build up to ninety percent of your bone health up to the age of eighteen and twenty.
That's really that's why active childhoods are so important.
Then you build a little bit more until around your thirties and then from the mid thirty mid thirties on you start to lose more bone than build.
So you're the seesaw has changed and you're now on the downward curve.
So you have to work a little bit harder to keep
giving the signal to your skeleton to create that bone.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
I I mean I my focus is on movement and that's really half the picture.
The other picture is nutrition.
It's very important obviously.
And then you have things like supplementation if you can't drink milk, for example.
So calcium is an important part, absolutely, for building bone.
But supplementation or diet on its own is not enough.
