And so the idea of an accident is, you know, we're just right at that precipice.
You mentioned about like suicide.
I quote, there was the existential sort of philosopher, Nick Bostrom, spoke, God, it's 10 years ago now, about AI maybe being
human's last great invention.
And I echo him, only I say that about genetic modification of germs.
That could very well be 21st century human's last invention.
That's the only ending, Glenn.
That is the only ending with a genetically modified pathogen to be airborne among the population.
You might as well know that right off the bat.
I mean, Tom Cruise is not coming to save the day.
But, well, you know, I think you and I have spoken about this before when we were talking nuclear, that I really love the phrase, you can't fix what you can't face, right?
Because what it also means is you can fix what you're willing to face.
And so when you have a bit of knowledge about these subjects that are so terrifying, then you can arm yourself with the correct information.
You can understand when a mask would be appropriate and when it isn't.
You know, when the hantavirus outbreak happened, for example, in May, and everyone was all worried about it, well, that was a legitimate fear because there is a strain that is airborne.
When it proved not to be that airborne strain, you could take different measures.
People don't know, so they go to an alternative narrative.
How could you not?
