As far as I know, he's not died.
Yeah, I mean, the received Westminster wisdom is that he blows with the wind.
He's someone who was an advisor to Tessa Jowell, was in the Blair government, was seen as a good sort of Blairite boy kind of thing.
And then...
He became a little bit disillusioned in the Corbyn years, left to go and run Greater Manchester and developed this theory about how the country should run.
And in that process, moved more to the left.
And that's the criticism of him, that he's someone who, you know, that he blows with the wind.
And there's this famous joke that actually he himself retells with distaste and with frustration, you know, a story.
a Corbynite, a Blairite and a Brownite or Milibandite go into a bar and then the barman says, Andy, what are you having?
I think that's a bit unfair.
And actually, I've looked back at some of the older interviews that I did with him back when you mentioned he was shadow health secretary under Ed Miliband's leadership.
And he was already speaking about the stuff that he talks about today, about there being a Westminster club that doesn't understand the country, about northern voices and the priorities of northern cities and towns.
being left out by the Westminster establishment about the neglect of certain communities by this kind of club that he always felt quite uncomfortable in.
And also, you know, this idea of him being this kind of Northwest indie dad being some kind of confected persona.
I don't think that's true because when I spoke to him back then, you know, over a decade ago,
