This is this is what it's like to travel to the MLB Draft Combine.
It's every kid's dream.
Yeah, there and there's been a lot of those for me in recent years, but but c the C C one really cuts particularly deep because that was uh I was I was young on the Indians beat back in the day when he was, you know, finding it and becoming the ace he he grew to be, the Cy Young winner he grew to be.
And of course, uh I saw his son his son first in quite a bit.
back in those days.
So yeah, it's it's happening to me.
It happens to all of us.
If you hang around long enough you'll see some

Yeah, I've gone the last few years.
It's a cool event.
Um, you know, y you get to know these guys uh on a deeper level just prior to the draft and uh
I mean just as a reporter it gives you m like 'cause I'm not uh firmly focused like uh some of our crew here on on the pipeline, uh on the draft prospects.
So for me it's a great uh opportunity to to learn more about these guys before they infiltrate the professional ranks and then
You know, you get more of a rooting interest just as a on a personal level.
You know, you get their backstories and um but you know, it's not just about uh interacting with goopers like me.
Obviously for them, uh it's tactical where
They they take batting practice and all that and that's what they show on air.
But I I think actually the the more relevant aspect of the combine comes after the cameras are put away and um when they go through their their physicals and
