It's definitely a boom.

The biggest IPO before these was US $25 billion for Saudis Aramco, the oil company.

I mean, this one will be two or three times bigger than that.

Anthropic, that's the really red hot one.

Yes.

You know, with about a US trillion dollar valuation now.

OpenAI was a bit hotter than Anthropic, although that's kind of fizzled a little bit in terms of the hype at least in the past six months.

You know, there's fears that OpenAI's ChatGPT hasn't kept up with Anthropic's Claude.

But you've got these three whopper AI companies.

companies, right?

At the moment, they're in private hands.

They've been attracting lots and lots of capital in private markets.

They've been doing funding rounds that are bigger than the biggest IPOs.

People are just throwing money at them and they're all eyeing public markets at the same time.

I think that's a good thing, James.

I mean, this is reaffirmation that public markets is the long-term home for big businesses, right?

Just that ability for them to turn over their registers, for shareholders to recycle in and out.

private markets for as far as they've come they just can't match public markets for that daily liquidity and it sets up companies for the long term but if all these do come to the market at the same time james i mean it's got to also be the sign of a bubble yeah i mean if if they can raise us 100 billion dollars between them for ipos
