Woodside Energy James, LNG Gas, Oil Company, Australia's biggest, I mean huge scale back in its green investment plans.
I mean, it had said it would spend US five billion dollars by the end of this decade on new energy.
So either non-fossil fuel stuff or less carbon intensive uh energies.
I mean, so it it lowered its hurdles on these sort of new energy projects and would said it would invest in them as a priority over and above, you know, the oil and the gas.
It's real it's real core stuff.
That was only two years ago.
I went through this giant fight with shareholders about doing this and shareholders still voted against their plans.
Exactly.
They wanted more.
They wanted Woodside to go even harder on this sort of transition and and map out its transition to this like clean energy company even harder.
It was it was a really big story in 2024.
Anyway, two years on, there's a new CEO, Liz Westcott.
She stood up and she just gave it a bullet at the results this week.
Her intent was very clear.
You know, this is all about cash returns now.
