It was travel insurance, but it was not my passion.

Passion.

I was doing counselling.

I was also working for Anxiety New Zealand Helpline, volunteering.

and studying.

And then I was made redundant.

And then I was looking.

I started to look for, I originally started to look for jobs, vocations that were going to support counseling.

Maybe I could integrate because I need to get practicum hours, placement hours.

I went through Emerge, EMBA.

I went through just so many, so many different places.

And thank goodness I came across, you know, LifeWise, the LifeWise Trust.

I remember when I first had my interview there and I met the previous manager,

Jolie, remarkable woman, and Margaret.

We did my interview.

And like most interviews, if anyone's got a criminal record, what you do is you sort of put the best foot forward, don't you?

And then at the very end, you kind of go, oh, by the way, there's this one little thing I'd probably just let you know, just a little thing.

Yeah, got a criminal record, was deported, you know.

But hey, but no, I came straight with it at the end of it.

And thank goodness, and this is public record, Joe was extremely kind to say that.
