Yes, and I hear from women and people from minoritised communities all the time about that, that I thought I was safe, I thought things were okay, until I started asking why.
And if I started asking if things could be better.
Yeah, it's a tricky time because there is increasing casualisation of the workforce.
So the people who are in most precarious positions are usually women or people, again, from minority backgrounds, people with disabilities, people who are First Nations, people of colour.
And so already you're at a bit of a disadvantage.

Probably speaks to why the ABC were so arrogant in their mistreatment of me, probably thinking, what is she going to do?
She's on a one-week contract.
We're the largest broadcaster in the country.
What is she really going to do?
And so, yes, you probably do start off in a position of less power.
I guess my main thing that I can say, because I don't know everybody's circumstances, is to be really clear about what your North Star is, why it is you do what you do.
And as cliche as it sounds, my North Star has always been to give a voice to communities and to people who don't have a voice and the equal cliche in journalism of speaking truth to power.
And every time I've come up against something,
And I'm like, okay, am I doing this?
And to work towards a community and a democracy that is more inclusive and functions better.
Anytime I come across a barrier or something that feels off or a challenge, I question, how does this sit with my North Star?
Is it relevant?
Is it worth the fight?
Is it worth pushing back against?
