So there are several reasons to this, but most of it is tax reasons.
And that's one of the reasons why akyas are such a big thing, really.
Because who owns it?

Like you're four people owning it and no one takes ownership of the house, right?
Yeah, but not only property tax, inheritance tax.
On the value of the house and the value of the land, which is usually not as much as the actual property value, but still if you have a normal job and then all of a sudden You are asked to pay half a million, a million, I don't know how much taxes.

Cause most most brokers and most people in the property world, they want to deal with easy houses.
Which I also understand.
Like problematic properties.
That's mostly what akyas are, especially in Tokyo.
You could say that uh most Akyas in the countryside, they're just normal houses.
