The Blue Jays believe that they can do a better job of helping guys like that add some power and add some EV rather than the opposite, where you go out and you get somebody who has a bunch of pop and has a bunch of raw power, but maybe they don't manage a strike zone as well. matched

Maybe they have a higher chase rate. matched

Maybe they just don't make as consistent contact. matched

I think the Blue Jays feel better about their ability to develop the power side of it. matched

And they really feel good about their strength and conditioning department and the programs that they get guys on. matched

Obviously they feel good about the facilities that they have for players and just the appeal that they can give to players to matched

We'll see how a lockout impacts that this winter. matched

Unfortunately, prospects won't have access to all those tools and to the facilities if there is a lockout. matched

But I think you could point to guys like Sean Keyes and David Schneider and Spencer Horowitz as guys who didn't have the kind of raw power and the kind of EV numbers that matched

um, we're seeing from them of late when they first came into the organization. matched

So like there's proof of concept there. matched

So when you're going for like the undersized Uber high contact elite bat to ball guy with like 30 grade power, um, the blue Jays believe that they can help up that power without sacrificing, uh, too much of the contact that made those guys prospects in the first place. matched

And then they're going to basically build out, uh, the, the league's best quad a team, uh, matched

and likely package some of these guys in the future for future trades. matched

Yeah, the up-the-middle defense as well is like a classic Blue Jays hallmark. matched

Having some speed is something that they've really targeted of late in base running instincts. matched

They like athletes. matched

Because I think there's more directions you can go if something doesn't work out, if you have that base of athleticism. matched
