impact the game and like you look around at contenders in this league and pretty much all of them have that like all speed and defense guy on their bench it's like still something that has value in the big leagues and that good teams um have as part of their rosters so like there's uh you know i don't mean to downplay them like who knows like maybe they matched

put it all together and become more than we've seen to this point but I mean when when your floor is I make a ton of contact and I run the base as well and I have some speed and I can steal a base for you and I can play some good defense for you like that floor there's a big league career there and you're probably not going to make a hundred million dollars but you can play a bunch of years in this league and be really valuable to matched

winning teams by doing that that what you don't get with this class of player is like that ceiling of oh hey maybe this guy is gonna mess around and hit 35 homers one year like oh hey maybe you're gonna end up with that like corner outfielder who you don't love um defensively all the time but he's got like a 900 ops you're not gonna see that so you don't have that ceiling but there is a high floor here of somebody who is playable in the majors matched

I wasn't surprised just because when I heard that like a Soriano deal was realistic, I was like, oh, well, one of JoJo or Arjun is very likely to be in this deal because you just look at the Blue Jays system and they don't really have someone else who you could build a package around unless like John Moseleks just completely lost his mind. matched

But he hadn't, right? matched

So he gets a good return there. matched

And Arjun, who was like a very legitimately high upside prospect in this game, somebody who has – matched

as much like raw talent and ability as you're going to find. matched

It's going to be up to him to do the work and put in just the effort to get the most out of that. matched

And it's going to be up to him to find the consistency that's been somewhat missing from his game. matched

But he's still so young. matched

I mean, 20, 21 years old. matched

And he's already at double A. And he's having good results at double A at that age as well. matched

It's very, very promising. matched

But, I mean, Soriano has a lot of value. matched

Not just because he's very good right now. matched

Like, for me, he's better than Kevin Gosman right now. matched

And that's just my opinion. matched

He's a really, really good number two in a rotation. matched
