After the top five rounds, the hit rate on draft picks is, like, minuscule.
That's the survivorship bias of it.
You look at Kevin Pillar, who was a 900th round pick, or Davis Schneider, who was drafted in a round that doesn't even exist anymore.
These are the survivors, but what you don't see is the hundreds and thousands of other players selected in those later rounds who are now real estate brokers.
And these penalties extend to the international bonus pool as well.
You're leasing hundreds of thousands of dollars in international bonus pool.
