And uh he didn't pay him all that money just to help uh you know Eric Lauer uh figure out how to use his cutter more effectively, or you know, how to help Boun Francis through what I'm sure were some pretty significant struggles with his confidence earlier this year.

Uh more to devise like the uh, you know, most uh, you know, dastardly of sequences with Kurt.

Chris Bassett using uh five different pitches to tie someone in knots.

Like you pay him that money to to pitch and to be Max Scherzer and to stabilize the rotation.

So it's time for him to do that.

But uh certainly behind the scenes, yeah, he's he's talking to everybody.

And you know, you guys I'm sure have heard John Schneider say over and over again that like every day there's a 30-minute conversation with Max Scherzer where he just goes in the office and says, All right, we gotta talk about this and that and this and this thing that we did last night.

And here's what we're gonna do next time.

And uh, you know, John just kind of kicks back and and lets him go.

So uh you guys know the energy in the presence say he's been it's something else.

You know, if you get eighty-five pitches, five and dive, like I think you take that and you run and you just don't look back.

Like I think the Blue Jays would be very happy with that.

Um certainly the the stuff, I mean, there wasn't a ton of degradation in it at triple A from what we've seen prior.

And you would expect things to kind of tick up a little bit in the big league environment with the adrenaline going and uh you know, being in front of the, you know, the the extra deck in in the stadium.

So uh it's gonna be

very much a monitor it and check in with in between innings and wait and see.

And anyone who tells you today that they know what to expect from Max Scherzer tonight is lying and full of crap.

Max Scherzer doesn't know what to expect as he uh perpetually reminds us after each uh session, each time that he's throwing off a mountain.
