You frame it really well is like, do you value the long term projection or do you value the short term production?
And I just think the Blue Jays standings wise wins losses wise in need of a spark wise probably need to value the short term production right now.
Davis Schneider so far this year, like he's having a very two true outcomes year because he's he's 54 percent of his plate appearances have finished in one of the three true outcomes.
But he has only one home run and he has 14 walks and 21 strikeouts.
So essentially, like he's half the time he's either walking or striking out like that.
he's he's barely swinging 34 swing rate um in turn he's barely chasing which like yeah if you don't swing very much you're not going to chase very much but he's also just not producing in terms of hits in terms of slug in terms of doubles etc in terms of plating runs um so my only concern really would be like do you
hurt your versatility and your late game maneuverability if you get too left handed by adding a barger and sending down a Schneider?
John Schneider doesn't have the best complement of options on his bench to mix and match late in games like that would be the one thing that would give me some pause in this decision and make me think all right nice run of play you Hendrick you'll be our next the first guy up as soon as there's an opportunity for an outfielder but we're going to keep Davis just so that we have him as a right-handed bench bat and maybe he just goes into a bit of a platoon with Addison Barger going forward
that would be the one reservation I would have.
But when it comes to performance and who's impacting the lineup more right now, I don't really think there's any question that it's Johendrik Pignongo.
I mean, you just traded a prospect for him.
They gave up a teenage outfielder who I don't believe has even played a professional game yet.
So who knows what that's going to be?
Like sometimes that turns out to be nothing.
Sometimes that turns out to be Lane Thomas.
