So if Josh Leier wants, he can go to Jesus every day and say, hey, where do you want to hit?
Pick your spot and I'll work around you.
But it's just like the pitching side.
lead off or to hit second or third like if you were if you really want to drop Springer and Vlad to like five six I don't know that there's like four better hitters on this team that you'd want to have ahead of them like those guys still give you a high quality of plate appearance even when the results aren't there they're still seeing pitches and making pitchers work and giving everybody on your bench a
a good look at everything that they're utilizing.
And look, I understand that like Brandon Valenzuela and Johandrik Pignango have had a nice few weeks, but I'm not sure that you want them hitting second and third right now.
I think they're pretty good right where they're at.
Yeah, it's been team wide with the chase.
And it's just kind of shocking.
Like you, you expect it from guys like Ernie Clement and Lenine Sosa, who that's just part and parcel to their approach.
You shouldn't expect them to be low chase hitters, but when it's coming also from, I mean, Nathan Lucas had some serious troubles with it earlier this year when he was dealing with Vertigo, but even over the last 30 days, he's still at a 33.3% chase rate.
When you see when it's Vlad, when it's George Springer, when it's Dalton Varshow, I mean, it's just been a team that has chased a lot and therefore has not seen a ton of pitches in the zone since about the first month of the season, really, ever since things turned over to May.
Teams have been throwing the Blue Jays fewer and fewer pitches in the zone, fewer and fewer pitches on the plate, first couple pitches of the plate appearance, fewer and fewer fastballs, because the Blue Jays have kind of shown they'll get themselves out.
Uh, and so what, until just team wide and flat, especially obviously the blue Jays make that adjustment and start being more disciplined and stingy in their plate appearances.
I mean, the offense isn't really gonna get going because.
especially in this era of baseball when stuff is as nasty as it is.
