Most of us hate it.
I can't.
You know, I have my issues with it.
We know poor people can't get access to health care.
We know middle class people struggle to pay for health care.
Our health care system is broken.
We can all agree to that.
But that doesn't justify shooting and murdering a health care CEO.
I have many friends who are CEOs of companies.
They now have to walk around with security and no job.
No job should subject you to those kinds of threats.
And if you have issues with our health care system, with our legal system, any of our systems, we have ways for you to voice your protest, to voice your opposition.
And it is not planning the murder of a CEO.
And so, you know, Mr. Thompson, Brian Thompson, that's his name.
He had a family.
He was somebody's son.
He was someone's husband, someone's father.
And our sympathies need to be with his family and any corporate CEO, any nonprofit CEO.
I'm a CEO of a company.
So just the thought that your life can be threatened because of policy decisions that your company makes is just not acceptable.
