It's a little unusual because typically he committed a murder in the state of New York.
So typically this would be a state murder trial.
The death penalty, New York doesn't have a death penalty.
This is the federal charges against him for murder.
And so in a case like this, it is a little unusual that the feds stepped in and charged him with murder
And they are the ones who are asserting the death penalty as a potential penalty if he is convicted or if there is a plea deal of sorts.
So it is unusual in that case.
And that's been one of the big fights the lawyers have been engaged in is the way that he has been charged by two states.
I think the state of Pennsylvania, the state of New York and the federal government.
But again, I just, you know, and I know you're getting all these comments and people are supporting this murder.
Yes, you can compare him to, you know,
all kinds of really bad dictators.
But at the end of the day, do we want a country?
Do we want to live in a United States where anybody who disagrees with your policies can walk out in the middle of the street and shoot you and suffer no consequences?
I just don't think when people think about that to its logical conclusion, that that is the world that we want to live in.
Look, I have children.
I don't know if either of you have children or you're planning to have children.
Do you really want your children to grow up in that kind of environment?
for us, we're already fearful to send our kids to school for school shooters.
We're fearful of going to malls, movie theaters.
