But the most, most of our interactions with power structures are local in this intermediate space.
And I think it's a lot of where if you
you're involved in partisan warfare or in the political mindset a lot.
It's a space that's too easy.
It's very easy to look past.
I mean, the most powerful person I know personally in our town is named Heidi.
She's the town clerk.
She's amazing at being the town clerk.
But those are the kinds of people that you kinda have to organize around and know in order to affect change in your local communities.
Otherwise you're just gonna be railing at things that are outside of your control or fighting against them with three people in your house and kind of not really able to do anything.

I'll just add that not only is it about the magnitude or the intent, but it's about the fact that killing civilians because of a radical religious ideology is all al-Qaeda does.
They don't also
inspire change in the drug market or run the world's best post-collegiate educational system or have like run hospitals or fund youth sports for girls, et cetera, et cetera.
There's a lot of stuff the United States does that if you were going to make a balance sheet, you'd put on the pretty good side.
And that's a really basic
point to make.
Like I think on both ends of the spectrum, if you're really smooth brained or really galaxy brained, you can look at the US and say that's mostly good.
But in the middle, you tend to fixate on the negatives.
