For a long time, early in my life, when I was in my mid-20s, I moved to Spain. matched

And one of the things that I found is that, you know, the Spaniards are very serious about their August. matched

Well, two to five is where everything's closed, and they're still eating supper. matched

I mean, it's crazy schedules. matched

But August 1st, everything shuts down, and unless you're in hospitality, you're not working. matched

And when I first moved there in my mid-20s, I was amazed at the radiance that they would come back with, and I would ask, what did you do? matched

And they would say, well, nothing. matched

And they kind of meant that, as a matter of fact. matched

And now one of the things that I notice is that people still take August off in Spain because, you know, that's a violation of natural law that somebody should make you actually go to your job in Spain in August. matched

But they're less refreshed. matched

And there's a reason for that, which is that they're on the beach with their phone. matched

and they've broken their brains and so one of the things that we have to urge all of our viewers today to do as they go into the nothing box is that means no phone man you will destroy the neurological benefits that come to you from leisure and from relaxation if you're staring into your phone and you know we could enumerate all the ways that the default mode network and the right hemisphere of the brain are extinguished and their activity but bottom line is matched
