And that was what music has always been to me.
So in the late 90s, my family moved to Asia.
I was watching MTV.
That was my connection to the real world.
And it was like pick pop music goodness.
Christina, Britney, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, all of the music.
And it brought me so much joy.
And it just kind of became the thing that I associated with feeling good was like great music.
And then when I started broadcasting, I realised that I kind of β I had a knack for joyous content that maybe didn't feel like I was trying too hard or it came really quite naturally to me.
And I really am quite a positive person and I want to have fun at work and I want the atmosphere to be really inclusive and happy off air.
So you can't have a joyous radio show if you all fucking hate each other and, like, when the mics are off, I'm yelling at someone, you know, like β
It was night radio, babe, as you remember.
Like the stakes were low, you know, and we're there.
It's nine o'clock at night.
Everyone's gone home to their families and we're there having Guzman y Gomez all grilled for the tenth night in a row in our little studio with our mates.
We're not taking it that seriously.
We're having fun.
We had so much fun.
And I went with it.
So much fun.
