Like now it's like all this pressure because we need ratings and yes, we always had that, but like not at night radio.
You know, they really let us do whatever we wanted.
Thank God because I did not have the skills to go on and do a breakfast show at the time and do anything that was like serious.
No, you've definitely not.
I've got the skills now.
Back then, no, no, no, no.
I could talk about Justin Bieber and I could dance to Ricky Martin and I could do some ridiculous thing called the chocolate lottery where we eat chocolates into a microphone from a packet of Cadbury Favourites and you have to pick which chocolate it is.
That's the limit of my skills.
Yeah, we started doing that on the β I think it was Shazam Top 20 and then it came over into the Ash London Live.
I got a shout out to Angus O'Loughlin.
That was his idea.
He may have been drunk at the time and we were like, let's do it.
And as with many of these types of things that I've done β
Yeah, you go to Paris, you interview Taylor, you do the Ed, you do the Harry, people like it.
But it's the dumb, joyous, low stake stuff that when I do it, that's when people care.
And honestly, I want to think that people like, you know, listen to my show for the hard hitting interviews and they did.
But for the most part, I think anything that I've done that has been like...
just makes people feel happy and just makes them chuckle, that's where all the positive feedback and the real engagement comes from.
Totally.
it was discombobulating totally.
