The Farm Bill had just passed.
And so I was volunteering at this organization.
I met these guys and I said, I want to help.
And I did a couple of projects with
Them and then they ended up getting some funding and they hired me to come on board as their founding CMO.
So that was really fun for me to get the keys to the car, so to speak.
I'd always worked with all these big marketers helping them, you know, build their products.
And now all of a sudden I was behind the wheel and driving, you know, the CBD train.
It was so much fun.
I learned a lot, and we went from $4 million in sales to $40 million in sales.
sales and like two years ended up and we did all this without any, you know, this was still an illegal quote unquote product, even though it was technically legal.
But people, you know, the advertisers wouldn't take our money.
We couldn't, you know, use Google or Facebook or anything like that.
So we had to build the product organically and st and tell stories you know, about the the users.
And so that really brought me into the natural products industry, right?
I mean, I I was just overwhelmed with the positivity of that experience.
Thousands and thousands of families would write to me and tell me thank you for helping their children or their mother or their father or their neighbor.
It was just amazing how many people were were getting helped by this, you know, plant based compound.
And so I got addicted to that.
Uh that, you know, the emotion and the joy associated with helping people was was fun and it is fun.
