And it's not just that the funding from my government has been cut.

More than 11 million girls and women around the world have lost access to care that saves their lives regarding their sexual health and their reproductive health in 19 humanitarian settings since cuts began in 2025.

And that's from a variety of governments.

You know, we can take this back to Bono.

When, you know, part of how I got involved in the international work was when you had the Jubilee campaign to end the debt.

And that with Jamie Drummond became data, which initially was debt aids trade in Africa.

democracy, accountability, transparency and AIDS.

And, you know, my longtime friend from yoga, Bobby Shriver, called me and Bono called me and they're like, you have to come join us and do this seven state tour of the Midwest and the United States and show the states that people and, you know, cynically in the east and the west called the flyover states that people really care about poverty and injustice and gender based violence and

So I did this tour with Bono and Jamie Drummond and some others, and I'm still friends with that crowd.

It was really a special experience.

And Bono and I did our first television interview together.

And he will tell you this too, and obviously he has the gift of the gab, but apparently I just out-talked him and did so great on the interview.

And his team was like, oh my God, you really got to polish up your act here.

And he was like, you know, you have to run for office.

And I was like, what?

to me.

So that brings it back to being with you on Irish radio.

And, you know, the question is, where am I most of service?
