You know the old saying, money can't buy happiness?
I'm sure you've heard it before.
We've all heard it.
And, you know, as the holiday season approaches and just everything going on in the world, I've been thinking about it a lot for many different reasons.
And I feel like it's an excuse for
for the mindset and the thought, the belief that money is evil, or I shouldn't charge for my services or things that I'm trying to sell, or even on a societal level that it keeps people from wanting more, trying to better yourself, just like doing something different with your life, right?
Because you should just be happy with the way that things are.
I mean, I realized the philosophical meaning behind it.
Happiness comes from within.
It's not something you can buy.
You can't go to the store and purchase happiness, right?
That feeling of happiness from spending, you know, the dopamine hit from being on social media or getting likes or
adding something to cart on Amazon.
That is short-lived.
It leads to a cycle of guilt and shame.
