The reason why so many were transitioning to shoppers was for its timeliness guarantee.
Shoppers believed that your order should be completed in a timely manner because your time was precious to you.
So anytime an order was marked complete by the store, the lucky driver had 30 minutes to get it from the store and into your hands.
If the driver was late by even one minute, they had to pay the customer $5 out of their own pockets for the inconvenience.
