Guy impersonates a police officer in Dallas gets shot.
I'm like, okay, well, I might as well stay up for this.
I wait.
And I look at the guy and I'm like, God,
Looks a little familiar.
So I grab my laptop, open up his name, and I can see there's all the documents.
It says, you know, identity verified declined.
And that's back when we were manually verifying people's documents, right?
So every officer that came in, we're, you know, we're going to call their PD.
Hey, does this guy still work for you?
Is he in good standing?
And we declined him, but he got through everyone else's system.
He worked allegedly at dozens of local businesses in Dallas over years in person and off to the officer.
Ends up getting caught because there was a local PD that had put out a bolo for a stolen license plate.
That morning, one of those cops that was in the stand-up drives to an off-duty job, and the guy working with him on the off-duty job is driving the car with a stolen license plate.
So he calls it in, reports it.
They then get a search warrant for his place, go to him in the parking garage, and as they're trying to detain him, he pulls a weapon out, and the officers take him down.
Through that scenario, what we learned is, hey, this guy's an impersonating officer on the platform.
We caught it.
That's great.
