Like we're starting to see guys that are maybe they're converted starters or just, I always come back to Andrew Miller.
Why?
Maybe because those Cleveland teams and that, that Cubs World Series against Cleveland in 16 was just so awesome.
And Miller was the type of guy that can give you one and two thirds or give you two solid innings.
And Jones, with just his frame, I worry about him in the rotation long term.
Just isn't that repeatable of a delivery.
But if you throw him in the bullpen, just like Carmen Majinski, you can have good outings as a starter, but is their value great enough in those late innings where you can maximize it there, especially with the depth of starting pitching, albeit they're healthy right now.
It's intriguing, man.
It really is fascinating to have Jared Jones come out of the pen, even if it is like a seventh, eighth inning role, if your bullpen's taxed, or you're in a big spot in the sixth inning with runners on base and you need him to come in.
That would be hard.
It'd be a tough adjustment.
I think he'd be up for the task.
