They are coming for us, yeah, and come for us in great numbers, which is uh it's a concern.

It certainly is a concern.

I mean it's

Uh absolutely, and I think um it is a wonderful opportunity and I suppose just looking at um the amount of talent that they are attracting and I suppose in terms of the opportunity and it being lucrative and the lifestyle that's that's been put in front of young guys, it's hard to see how the GA can compete.

But I think it's a huge, huge challenge at the moment and I think it's something that they definitely need to to move on.

Yeah, well I suppose at the at the outset you mentioned was the Irish experiment and that's going back, I suppose, to the the the early eighties, you know, when kind of the first recruitments would would would have been Jim Steins.

And, you know, those one or two kind of, you know, drip fed in, but it has definitely accelerated, I think, in the early two thousands.

And I think that's maybe based on that the profile of the Irish Gaelic athletic player has changed.

The physicality, obviously, what's been invested in them, you know, they are now ready made and ready to go.

So there isn't a huge amount of investment having to be put into them from an Australian perspective.

They're a kid.

And that's testament to you know the the the underage development structures that are in clubs, obviously the academy systems that are being put in place in counties, um getting them ready to be become high performers to perform in high performance environments like your Kobe McDonald's in front of ninety thousand in Crow Park at the end of August.
