And the only planets that remained are those in stable orbits.

And that's where the Earth is relative to Jupiter and Mars is.

But initially, there were many more planets, many of which were expelled.

And even the Earth suffered an impact by a Mars-sized body

And that produced the moon, by the way.

This is the Theia impact.

So basically chipped, you know, I fell on the ground a few months ago and I chipped the tip of my nose, but the earth lost a significant amount of mass.

So the moon is in a spaceship brought here by lizard aliens?

By the way, the moon will come back to Earth.
