you know, many of us in the US would understand and uh when we think about anxiety and depression and eating disorders and
borderlines presentations and all of that.
Can you little tell us a little bit about Sheila farmers and how these are connected?
It would make sense that she was thinking too much.
How do the disciplines of psychology, how do they distract us from seeing these wider reasons about of why people are anxious or suicidal or depressed?
I want to bring our conversation down to let's let's think of a typical American individual, right?
Suffering.
Reaches a psychiatrist or a primary care physician.
How do we see this person's pain in context?
Let me take you to one of the most important concepts now discussed in the book.
All right.
Um, you talk about cognitive liberty.
And i i in the chapter on cognitive liberty, you write about your mother's condition.
It's it's at the center of this chapter, right?
Where you had to put her on meds, you later regretted it because she started, you know, di developing diabetes.
And uh and the problem for her has started because she had lost her business.
So I want you to tell us a little bit about the idea of cognitive liberty, about your own experience with your mom, and maybe then how can a physician use the concept of cognitive liberty in their own practice?
I want us to kind of talk about the last thing now, which is the idea of care.
And you write that we must be wary of the idea of care, especially mental health care, right?
And then you write that when we give social prescriptions of care, we uh you you don't just mean that care should be escalated.
