Coming up on AI, having a clue.
Are entry-level jobs getting completely destroyed?
The anxiety about the data is completely justified.
92 million jobs are targeted to be displaced by 2030.
Should schools be doing more around AI?
The technology is happening faster than most educators could unlearn what they did in the past.
Start preparing now, not when you're ready to go to apply for a job.
You know, as an introduction, I chanced upon your podcast and, you know, absolutely love the banter between you, James and George, with one person playing the, you know, the ignorant about the AI and the other person being the expert.
Thank you.
Yeah, but really what comes out of that is absolute golden nuggets for the listeners.
And I hope that they can take away something from this conversation today.
To your question, really, I spent about 25 plus years in technology with a major part of that in Microsoft.
And I've seen the evolution of technologies through the different era, especially the technologies that Microsoft participated in, you know, starting from Internet to phones to the SaaS world and also contributed a lot to the current version of AI that Microsoft implements in the market.
So sort of really been in the weeds of technology.
implementing some of these technologies that I am now trying as a father in the household to inform my daughter about her career choices.
And it all really started with one of the dinner table conversations about careers that we were having, as I recall, probably about a year, a little over a year back.
And I got a sense by that time that my daughter was really surrounded by all of these sentiments about how AI is progressing, how it's impacting the careers of the youth.
And her peers, her school, they were all kind of reflecting on those voices in her head.
And she asked me,
Whether the choices that she's making about her career, her choice of subjects, is that even going to be relevant in the upcoming time by the time she graduates from her college?
