And it was just getting to be too much.

We have too many.

There's too many couples.

There's too many children.

So to and to make it work as a standalone, it was it was getting to be a lot.

yeah because they all have like little idiosynchronicities you know between the couples and you know amongst and I have to keep track of how old all the kids are because not because I'm on page saying and Odessa is eight and you know but the way they act is different if they're eight or two or whatever so yeah and because I didn't plan the series out ahead of time and I didn't

think to make myself a character bible or anything like that with all of the information readily available I've had to go back to the old books and try and figure out timelines so many times and it's just too much I was gonna say I'm sure there's a fan that could create you a bible or there is a fan bible on reddit or something like that yeah um that you can come back to

I think because of that guaranteed happily ever after.

I've even, with Love Well's Kept, already received a few messages or comments from people who have said that they don't know if they would even want to read the book if they weren't guaranteed that happily ever after.

But because they know that it's all going to work out in the end, it's like, okay, I'm setting myself up for a whole lot of heartache in the beginning, but then...

In the end, we're all going to be happy.

And so that payoff will make all that pain worth it.

But I think without having that guarantee, it's scary going into a book where you don't know if the main characters are going to die or if they're going to go through all of this.

And then at the end, they're going to decide, you know what?

Actually, we're just going to go our separate ways.

Kate and the kids are going to leave the ranch, whatever.

But knowing that eventually it's all going to work out, it's scary.

It's the little safety net that makes it a little bit less scary to tackle these heavy subjects.
