Yeah, I mean, I think the headline there sums it up pretty nicely.
The Costa del Donegal.
Lovely photographs coming in of Carrickfin Beach at Donegal Airport where we hit 22 degrees.
That temperature is probably in and around nine degrees above average for the time of year.
Many other places around the country, I have to say, weren't too far behind.
There was a lot of 20s and the odd 21 degrees as well.
But it was Donegal that stole the limelight yesterday.
We're not likely to hit that today, I'm afraid.
We have a little bit more cloud around and we also have a few spots of rain in and around the Midlands.
That should fizzle away.
But we're still looking today at temperatures well above average for the time of year by about six, maybe seven Celsius.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
It is fairly abnormal.
It's not too unusual to get blips like this.
We do get periods of warmer than normal weather in the spring and in the summer, the same way as we get kind of cold spells that are colder than normal in the winter months.
But we get to enjoy it at least after what was a very dismal start to the year.
And the good news is it's set to last into tomorrow and for much of next week.
There is a little bit of bad news, I'm afraid, for you, Brendan.
It always comes, it seems, in time before the bank holiday weekend.
It does look as though the weather is going to begin to break, probably in towards the end of Thursday, certainly into Friday.
