If you don't have people around you to have a life who care about you, then you've got nothing, right?
And it concerns me that we are becoming lonelier as a society.
That is a real red flag to me.
And so teaching our children how
How to make friends, how to be a good friend, how to apologize, how to repair a rupture in a friendship, how to identify, that person's not good for me.
That friendship's not working.
Actually, I think I'm going to let that go.
I don't like who I am when I'm with that friend.
I don't like what they bring out or I'm having – you don't ever want to choose between being loyal to your own values and being loyal to a group.
That's not a choice any of us want to make.
So I think these are skills that are so important and I think at school we get our eye on the wrong prize.
We're so obsessed with scores and awards and awards
And am I on this team or, you know what, it actually, it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
There's never been more time in life.
You could bomb out at school and there's a million pathways now that you can take.
It's the social skills.
