Can you not get involved in drama and politics in your workplace?
You know, this is parents and kids.
We're all – we need to work on these friendship muscles, people.
And also, it's the whole idea of –
And we've seen a real decline in bridging capital.
So that's that thing where we used to be, we used to join things and be friends with people or meet people that we had nothing in common with, you know, because we'd all be on the parent-teacher or we'd all be on this...
gardening group or tennis club or bowling or whatever.
And so people who voted differently to you or have different upbringing and life experiences and beliefs, right?
And we would connect with them and spend time with them.
And they might not end up being one of our close friends, but we would learn to be more accepting.
Right.
Because we were exposing ourselves to more people outside our bubble of we all vote the same and think the same and have the same upbringing and send our children to the same schools.
Well, that's because we're not joining things.
We're not having that exposure anymore to people who are different to us.
And that's at the detriment to us as a society.
We look at how polarized we are.
We've got to be able to be friends with people who will vote differently.
Us.
To have a conversation.
Go, that's okay that we're different.
