It's okay to feel like that about almost anything, right?
If our lives get off balance and sometimes again, like the old talking about, we can't control it because it's just that time of year or it's, you know, something that's going on in your family that you don't have control over.
But it's okay to feel like you need a break from that.
It doesn't mean that you don't care about that thing.
And that's the way that we should function, you know, we function hopefully in our relationships too, right?
need a break and that other person helps hold you up for a while and then, you know, you do the same back for them.
Um, and that's the way we do it.
It's, you know, this concept of being independent where you do everything by yourself um isn't what really happens out in the world.
We are very much interdependent upon each other.

So um to me, disability pride is a month where
We get to be recognized, right, for just exactly who we are.
And that's it, right?
Which doesn't happen to us the rest of the year.
Most of the rest of the year, we're doing our best to try to belong in a world that doesn't really make it easy for us to feel that way.
