My friends and family are my most important people.
The people around me and giving them time and energy and the authenticity of people too.
Like when you have something, a big thing like cancer and you get diagnosed, you get a lot of people come out of the woodwork who are there and they're part of it and want to support you and then you don't hear from them again.
The true colours of people really come out, which is unbelievable.
Like, I have got the most amazing village of people from so many different areas of life that I probably wouldn't have picked.
Like, it's not until you end up in this situation that you really work out who your ride or dies are.
And who's going to be there for you through all this shit?
And I'm blessed because I've got amazing family.
I've got amazing, well, amazing kids.
Their friends have been unbelievable.
Like the teenagers have blown me away.
The visits to hospital, the visits to my place, the messages, just them being around and wanting to be around through some pretty tough stuff.
Like
No one.
Yeah, it can be a space that people can tap out on, not want to be a part of because it's awkward, weird and they don't know what to say and they don't know how to be.
But yeah, people have become my number one priority in life.
And I think they always were.
Like, I'm a very loyal person.
Like, you cross me, well, actually not me, but you cross one of my friends or someone I love and do something shitty to them, you're not going to be my favourite person.
And I think, yeah, it's been such an interesting journey to see who's there for you when it really, really matters.
